Holocaust Survivor Services

Seniors•At•Home's commitment to Holocaust survivors is deep and abiding. Over the decades, we have provided thousands of survivors with support and services that have given them comfort and strength.

Today, more than 60 years after the Holocaust, approximately 4,000 survivors live in the Bay Area. Many are frail and continue to bear the scars of the Holocaust. Seniors•At•Home, the senior services division of Jewish Family and Children’s Services, is here to reach out to them and to meet their needs. We offer help through our reparations claims program and our full range of Seniors•At•Home services, as well as individual assistance, to ensure their well-being. We also provide opportunities for cultural engagement and peer support through our Café by the Bay programming.

Over the last several years, an innovative program, The Next Chapter, has created an intergenerational bond between Polish Jewish Holocaust survivors in the Bay Area and local high school students. Enduring connections have been forged, and lives have been transformed.
