Seniors•At•Home ClientI look forward to the weekly visit with my volunteer—she is the best!
Seniors•At•Home is the Bay Area's most comprehensive provider of compassionate, quality care to older adults. Our mission is to help older adults live safe, independent lives in their own homes. Volunteers of all ages play a vital role in carrying out this mission.
Specially trained volunteers are matched with seniors in declining health to provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support at one of life's most difficult times. Volunteers offer presence, companionship, or respite for a family member or friend. (San Francisco, the Peninsula, and Marin County only)
Compassionate volunteers are carefully matched with you, our senior client, based on location and common interests. You and your volunteer can then coordinate convenient weekly meetings to spend quality time together. Don't miss this opportunity to form a new lasting relationship!
Individuals, families, and groups visit nursing and retirement homes and seniors in their own homes during the holidays to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah, and Passover with Jewish seniors.
Volunteer callers provide friendship and a sense of security for seniors through regularly scheduled phone calls.
Volunteers drive seniors to medical appointments and help them with grocery shopping.
For seniors who are dog lovers, but may not be able to have their own dog, Canine Corps provides a unique, social opportunity to have a wonderful furry companion visit on a regular basis.
Volunteers assist seniors who are unable to shop for themselves by shopping for and delivering groceries weekly. (Marin County only)
